1. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)

The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a field within medical science dedicated to conducting laboratory investigations for disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. This 2-year program is typically pursued after completing the 12th grade.

A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), also known as a Medical Lab Tech or Clinical Laboratory Technician, works in diagnostic labs, doctors’ offices, or hospitals. MLTS conduct tests on blood and bodily fluids to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Additionally, they monitor drug levels in patients’ blood to assess treatment efficacy.

Medical Lab Technician Responsibilities:
1. Conduct diagnostic tests.
2. Analyze bodily fluids.
3. Draw blood samples.
4. Assess urine composition.
5. Match blood types for transfusions.
6. Test drug levels.

Position Summary: Perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include conducting tests, reporting results, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality control and safety compliance.

• Academic Qualification: Successful completion of the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
• Eligibility Age Criteria: There are NO Age Restrictions for admission to the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) program.

2. Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT)

The Diploma in Operation Theater Technology (DOTT) is a specialized medical science field focusing on both direct and indirect patient care during surgical operations. This 2-year diploma, pursued after completing class 12, trains professionals to assist surgeons and manage surgical procedures.

Operation Theatre Technologists handle all aspects of the operation theatre, including patient movement in & out of operation theatre, surgical instrument & their sterilization, and arrangement of operation tables, dressing tables, instruments tables and anesthesia equipment. They also assist surgeons during operations and manage the necessary drugs, anesthetic gases, drapes, and linen.

The course aims to teach students how to manage an operation theatre efficiently and handle various operating instruments and advanced electronic equipment used in modern surgeries.

3. Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology (DOPT)


The Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology (DOPT) is a two-year medical science program designed to train professionals to assist ophthalmologists. These specialists collect patient histories, conduct tests, prepare patients for examinations, and provide critical insights for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This diploma is available after completing class 12.

Ophthalmology focuses on eye care, covering topics such as eye examinations, vision defects, ocular diseases, corrective surgery, and optics. DOPT professionals are trained to assist ophthalmologists, working with eye testing equipment, monitoring patients, and handling optometry practices.

In short, DOPT professionals manage technical aspects and primary vision care activities, supporting ophthalmologists with tasks such as record keeping, vision testing, and dispensing optics.
